AURORA Konrad G. Schulz GmbH & Co. KG
Heating and air-conditioning systems for commercial vehicles
The company supplies components, devices, and entire systems for the heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning of premium commercial vehicles. Buses, diggers, and tractors made by manufacturers such as WrightBus, MAN, Daimler/Evobus, Irisbus, Caterpillar, Claas, John Deere, and Terex are all equipped with Aurora Group air-conditioning technology. The company exports more than two thirds of its products, and invests around 8% of sales in R&D. Part of these investments is used to support a constant flow of innovation. One such innovation developed by the company is a forward-looking heat pump system for electric buses, which increases the range of city buses in winter operation by over 50% with zero emissions. As a result, the buses now achieve a range of 270 km even in extreme weather.
At its locations in Germany (Mudau and Oettingen), the Netherlands (Heavac), North America, and Turkey, AURORA conducts 30 to 40 new serial production runs every year, serving over 500 active customers.
